20150425_140213Dear Friends,

Shravan Charity Mission was started in the memory our late son ‘Shravan.’ He was diagnosed of ‘Brain cancer’ when he was only two-an-a-half years old. And after a long and well fought battle he succumbed tragically when he was sweet sixteen in the year 2009. It was a very launcharduous journey for us and since then we decided to help ‘Poor Children Suffering from Cancer,’ and the NGO was registered for this purpose.

#OPPOSITION BLAMES PM FOR DENTING #INDIA’S PRESTIGE BY DISCUSSING #SCAMS WHILE #ABROAD

Copyright@shravancharitymission

TOI 30.4.15 –times view and counter view and now #VOTER’S VIEW

a2a7a4

#Congress leader #Anand #Sharma the other day was blaming PM for denting India’s prestige abroad by discussing scams. His contention was Prime Minister represents the entire country and not just the BJP and so he should not have spoken about scams.

a1

As a voter I would like to ask this person Anand Sharma where was he when all these scams were being committed and why couldn’t he think of country’s prestige then. For happenings of scams are more embarrassing than discussing scams abroad.  He then, was also a cabinet minister and could have ventured into stopping of some of these scams which he didn’t and is now trying to give moral lectures in his much arrogant tone and tenor.

The UPA ministry should thank itself that they committed these financial crimes in India which is a soft state, for had they committed such crimes in China or the US many of them would have been behind bars by now and some even executed by the state.

That apart the other view point is: The world and more importantly the investors need to be told that the erstwhile dirt and filth created by UPA is now being cleaned up, only to entice investors to invest in India, so what is wrong in that. In fact it was only because of the corrupt UPA regime that the honourable Prime Minister had to break traditions and talk of sanitizing India from corruption.

In this day and age of strong media presence every country knows what is cooking in any other countries backyard and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has only done the country proud by telling the world that a neat and clean India has now arrived for them.

Leaders like Anand Sharma should show some maturity and not behave like if I may repeat the Hindi proverb: Khisyani billi kahmba noche. Rather, they should take moral lessons on how to be an honest person, like an Indian voter.

‘#KEJRIWAL IS KNOWN BY THE COMPANY HE KEEPS’- #JITENDER #SINGH #TOMAR

New Doc 26_1

If the TOI news is correct: Let us face it, this time Jitender Singh Tomar was able to fool both the voters of Delhi and Kejriwal with his fake degrees. And, Kejrwal out of sheer shame is not sacking this fraud minister otherwise it will tell on #AAPs due diligence process. And, I guess this is another reason why #Prashant Bhushan and #Yogendra Yadav were shunted out because they must be objecting to such candidates.

But Kejriwal should very well know that a ‘man is known by the company he keeps.’

And voters if this fraud minister Jitender Singh Tomar comes for vote next time just boo him out.

#PRIME #TIME #TV #DEBATES-Keep hearing the #speaker but watch the eye-movements, facial expressions of others in the #panel to get a better sense

Of late participants in prime time TV debates have increased. All put together they go right up to eight on the screen, and some more join for special effects either at the studio, or any other location. Anticipating the hot intensity of the ensuing debate. I often find participants with parched throats. Some sipping water, which I wouldn’t dare to call it Vodka. In many ways Prime Time TV debates have replaced entertainment channels. As every individual is now eager to understand what is going on in the country. Also, news for many has become entertainment. Where, these debates are better understood both by literates and even the illiterates, unlike newspapers and magazines.

In the recent, prime time TV debates have become more cut throat, because many political parties are competing in the same political space, and have therefore become a multiparty affair. In any debate we now find time 3-4 party spokespersons. Most prime time debates start around 9 pm when office goers return from office after a hectic day’s of work, is when they want to analyse and know what all has gone right and what all has gone wrong in the country.

And, how cleverly or daringly their elected representatives from Karnataka and Telangana are hoodwinking the voters by going on a foreign junket. To how shrewdly BJP government is keeping the TRAI discussion paper alive, because Modi has to return election favours to Corporates. Or how Congress’s Anand Sharma in his own arrogant manner is spiking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, because he said something awkward in Canada about the country, but preferred to remain quiet when the scams were being committed by Congress under his own UPA regime. As if that didn’t spoil the country’s reputation. Or how PDP is kowtowing with separatists and how deeply is Mamta Banerjee involved in Sarada Chit scam and how J Jayalalita’s case on disproportionate asset is progressing. Or how Srinivasan is fighting his BCCI battle. The list goes on and on and on.

But the debate becomes daggers drawn when one spokesperson of a party criticizes the party supremo of another party, such as Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mulayam Singh, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamta Banerjee or for that matter any party’s top boss. The defending spokesperson as if goes into a tizzy and loses his cool as if they are about to lose their jobs and are being monitored by party bosses, debate to debate and channel to channel.

So, in all of this. There is but another way of viewing these TV debates, which I find is more gauging, engaging, absorbing, interesting and even revealing on a lighter note. And, that is when the anchor or a panel participant, like a party spokesperson or a journalist or even a lawyer or anyone else is making a point, don’t concentrate on that person visually. Just keep hearing him and look in the eye of the person he or she is attacking, and also take a quick glance at others in the panel, and you’ll find the debate to be much more interesting and revealing. For example, let’s take one prime TV channel ‘Timesnow.’

Where, when, Arnab Goswami anchor of ‘Timesnow’ taunts on, Azam Khan’s buffaloes getting lost and police personnel being suspended. One should notice the taut and staring expression of Gaurav Bhatia, spokesperson of Samajwadi Party. As if wanting to say, ‘if stares could kill Arnab you would have been dead by now.’ And in the adjacent box Sanjay Jha of Congress with a smug on his face and in extreme silence and patience as if is willfully intending to say, ‘That’s a good one Arnab.’ And Sambit Patra in a fizz and gulping down, ’Arrey maza aa gaya.’

Yesterday, when Narsimha Rao, the BJP spokesperson was being cornered by Arnab for likely six fold increase in mobile NET tariff by corporates. I was watching AAP spokesperson Somnath Bharti whose expression, as if said, ‘Dear Arnab you have made AAPs job easier.’

And, in several land bill debates. The expression and eye movements of many Congress spokespersons only said, ‘Thank you Modi ji, you have once again made us relevant and greater thanks to Arnab for getting us to limelight.’

But, there is a converse also. With Nepal tragedy, did AAP get off the hook on the tragic death of Gajendra Singh. Perhaps, Arnab will have to invite Kejriwal or Ashutosh or Raghav of AAP along with spokespersons of other parties and some journalists and lawyers for the viewers to gauge and find it out.

THE EXCELLENCE OF #INDIAN #AGRICULTURE

Copyright@shravancharitymission

New Doc 19_1

India has never been the cat’s whiskers in the world forum. Today, if one was asked to speak high about India on a world platform. Many would talk about its cultural diversity, growing economy, burgeoning and young talented population, IT, cricket team etc. etc.

But no one would talk about Indian Agriculture. As its contribution to Indian GDP has dipped to a mere 14%. Even when 60% of the Indian population still depends on it.

But there is another way of looking at Indian Agriculture, where it is the cat’s whisker in the world stage:

“Indian farmers without the latest of agri technology, are able to feed over a billion people in the Indian sub-continent. And, if you get them the latest of agri technology they could even feed the world.”

So let’s not fool the farmers. In fact we should give them the right place in the society. For, we can live without political parties and even survive with poor infrastructure. But we can’t survive without food.

The enclosed article ‘Death of the Kisan’ by Saraika Ghose is well meant in this direction.

20150425_13594720150425_140213

It was sterling moment once again when we met Manjit Singh a class nine student diagnosed Osteosarcoma. He happens to be the son of a priest in a Gurudwara at Ramnagar in Nainital.

We spoke to Manjit for a short while and found him to be a confident young boy with a lot of courage and zeal. And, there is no reason why he won’t bounce back; as God believes in testing a noble soul even if he happens to be the son of a priest.

Manjit, has a positive attitude and this all that matters in treatment of Cancer.

Your NGO handed over the contribution towards the treatment of this bright young star Manjit Singh.

We wish Manjit the very best in life.

The cruel Zalzala took just fifteen seconds to pulp Nepal into rubble. ‘Nepal!’ India stands by you in this moment of gruesome tragedy.

Prayers, for all who left us, and may their souls rest in peace; and may God give their families strength to bear this untimely and unwanted departure of their loved ones.

And, as they say in times of tragedy, a good neighbour reaches even before close relatives, like the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who never lets his neighbours down on such occasions.

Flavour – few lines from the story

  • In the last three days they had driven around four hundred km on jungle roads to track the leopard, both, early in the mornings and in the evenings. They were even baiting the leopard with a goat near the forest lodge, by keeping night vigil. But, all that humongous effort appeared in vain. For it is widely believed, shikaars don’t fructify, without luck. But luck like the cunning leopard was only evading them.
  • Time now was around 6.30 in the morning and both the vehicles were moving at a very slow pace almost one behind the other at a gap of around eight to ten feet to have a deep penetrating look on both the sides of the road as leopard otherwise, is an intelligent and swift animal.
  • Witnessing this, both Chidda and Gurung, the obedient and loyal servants got of their vehicles and started pacing towards the wild boar to examine if it was dead or still breathing.
