+1

One day, all the children bring gifts for their teacher. While the other children bring flowers and beautiful presents, Güldiken gives his teacher a piece of parchment. His teacher is surprised because she does not understand the meaning of his unusual gift.

Güldiken has recently moved from a mountain village to the city, so he is unfamiliar with many city customs. His mother explains that adjusting to city life has not been easy for him.

At school, the children participate in a drawing competition about the year 2000. Most children draw things associated with modern life, such as computers and cars. However, Güldiken draws a huge red sun on the parchment he gave his teacher. His drawing is different from those of the other children because he imagines the future from his own perspective and experiences.

The story shows that Güldiken has a unique imagination and that his village background influences the way he sees the world.
